Courier policy
When submitting your samples to our laboratories the importance of selecting a reliable courier service should not be overlooked.

Failed collections, lost items, broken bottles and delayed or incorrectly transported deliveries can all impact sample quality before analysis has commenced.

 

We strongly recommend that clients arrange their own couriers, using trusted providers with whom they already have established working relationships.

 

If you are unable to arrange your own courier we can offer the range of services outlined below. Please note that we do not accept responsibility for failed collections, or for lost, late, or damaged parcel deliveries attributable to third party couriers, nor do we accept liability for any consequential losses or damages that may arise due to courier failure.

 

Dedicated Courier (Includes Refrigerated Vehicle Option)

 

Dedicated couriers provide a bespoke collection and delivery service, usually using a vehicle allocated solely to the collection of your samples. This greatly reduces the risk of failed collections, lost items, breakages, and delayed or incorrectly transported deliveries. Though comparatively expensive, dedicated couriers largely remove the risk of having to repeat costly site work due to courier problems.

 

Temperature controlled options are available to ensure that samples are transported under refrigerated conditions where required.

Standard Courier

 

We have tried many courier companies over the years to identify one that provides a high degree of reliability for our customers. For routine third party collections we currently use ′DHL′ as our preferred service provider.

 

This service provides a cost effective method to collect your samples and have them delivered to our laboratories by next day delivery. Please note that for remote regions such as the Scottish Highlands and Islands, next day delivery may not be available.
